LIPS – The Lindamood Phonemic Sequencing for Reading, Spelling and Speech

LiPS addresses the auditory aspect of dyslexia. If the child has not developed phonemic awareness on their own, Lips will train and stimulate phonemic awareness.

Research has shown that weak phonemic awareness (difficulty judging sounds within words) is the primary cause of reading and spelling difficulties. As a result, students may add, omit, substitute and reverse letters and sounds within words.

LiPS is a multi-sensory program that specifically develops phonological awareness training in reading and spelling.
