PAY ATTENTION |
Why Train Attention? The importance of paying attention cannot be overstated. Without at least the lowest levels of attention, the ability to sustain your focus, learning can be difficult. In the fast-paced and competitive world of education today these lower levels of attention are not enough. It is important for a person to be able to not only pay attention to something for an extended period of time, but also to screen out distractions, to alternate between two or more sources of information, and sometimes to respond simultaneously to multiple stimuli. If a child’s listening and attention skills are poor, they will hamper the child's understanding of what is said to them. This is really because they aren’t listening properly to the words, rather than not understanding the words.
